Coffee report, commodity reportThe Coffee report contains bearing acreage, yield, total production, utilised production, average price, and value of production estimates for the current and previous two seasons. All components are published for cherry equivalent basis, and quantity and the average price for utilised production are included on parchment and green equivalent basis.

The Coffee report is issued by United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), more precisely, by NASS. The National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) is responsible for conducting monthly and annual surveys and preparing official USDA data and estimates of production, supply, prices, and other information necessary to maintain orderly agricultural operations.

Coffee utilised production down 15 percent from last season as reported in Coffee report on Friday, January 19, 2018. You can download the full report in pdf format at the end of the article.

Hawaii utilised coffee production is forecast at 24.3 million pounds (cherry basis) for the 2017-2018 season, down 15 percent from the previous season. Bearing acreage totalled 7,300, up 300 acres from the previous year. Average yield, at 3,420 pounds (cherry basis) per acre, was down 760 pounds from the previous year.
